As Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) training has grown in popularity, there has been increasing interest in the training by those outside of the law enforcement field. Because of this, we are now piloting a 16-hour (2-day) course of Crisis Intervention Partners (CIP) for the general community!
If you are not law enforcement and looking to get a more in-depth understanding of mental illness, along with techniques to help verbally de-escalate an individual, this is the class for you! This would be best for those working customer service or other client-facing professions, but we feel that anyone, regardless of career, would benefit from this knowledge.
Both days of this training, October 29th & 30th, are required for this class. This is an in-person class held at the PODD Church at 4462 W. Denneys Rd, Dover, DE 19904. Each participant that completes both days of training will receive a certificate and a pin.
A huge thank you to NAMI Wisconsin for their guidance in the creation of this course.
